American Lives Theatre
I started working with ALT back in late 2019. It was a time where I had some self-doubt about whether I could keep doing what I loved and make a career out of it. I loved combining my passions with media and theatre. I got the chance to learn through starting my own theatre company, but that time of my life had come to an end.
Then my partner was cast in one of ALT's shows. It was the first show of their inaugural season. So as brand new as a company could get.
The Numbers
Gloria Teaser Trailer
The tricky part about advertising for Gloria was the fact it was made clear we didn’t want to give away the major plot twist in the show. Because if the video had exposed that twist, the scene and the impact of the show would have lost its power. (For those who have seen the show will know which scene I am talking about)
The six or seven actor videos went well. After being put on their social channels, they generated about 1k views each. Ticket sales were moderate. Two weeks out I believe each night had a quarter of the house sold.
The teaser trailer dropped 3 days before opening night. I had only filmed it two days prior. So there was a pretty intense turnaround.
After it dropped, there was a significant increase in ticket sales. According to the Artistic Director, the video increased ticket sales by about 15% -20%
The run had 5 out of the 6 nights sold out.
Since Then
I have continued to work with them as a videographer, but more recently I joined the team full time as the creative director. I work with the marketing director on content strategy, content creation, and branding.
I’ve been working on rebranding the logo and look of their site. To reflect more of the mission, the tone of the shows, and just who we want to be as a theatre company.
ALT has a great team of collaborators, and we come together over Zoom and have monthly meetings, and no idea is off the table.
Gloria Videos
I used texture overlays of different type face since the show was based in a magazine production company. The theme of red correlates to a reveal in the show. The edit shows the drama without giving away the spoiler.
This was a promo I made for the week in between the first weekend and the final weekend.
This was one of seven actor interviews I did for Gloria.
Boy Gets Girl
This was the teaser I made for the second show in their inaugural season. Which was unfortunately cancelled because of Covid.

Additional Work
Those were The Featured projects I’m proud of
Working as a product photographer by day and a theater marketer, photographer, and videographer by night; I have taken over thousands of photos for e-commerce listings. I’ve worked on personal design projects meanwhile writing a brand new original musical called Oak Island. So as result, I've done a lot. I work a lot, but I love it because when it's fun it doesn't feel like work. So please feel free to continue with the rest of my portfolio, and I thank you for taking the time to look at my work and who I am as a creative.
